About
The Couple Charleston (a.k.a. Partner Charleston) gained popularity in the 40s. Usually danced to faster tempos, it’s known for its energy. The dance originated partly from the Lindy Hop and is great for any “swing kid” seeking to widen their dancing horizons. For the same reason, the 40s Charleston classes are part of our Lindy Hop curriculum.
Levels
This course will teach you the foundations of the Couple Charleston and you’ll get a taste of some more advanced moves. This is a great way to get more comfortable dancing to fast music.
Once you’ve tried something this fun, you simply want to learn more. This course will further enhance your Charleston repertoire with more crazy moves and with variations on the foundational material.
